The “Blurred Cherry Blossom” and the “Weeping Cherry Blossom” were prepared for release in April, spring in Japan. The dyeing method used is “Chuzome,” a traditional technique unique to Japan. Note dyeing is an old-fashioned technique in which a paper pattern with a picture cut out is applied to the fabric and dyed by pouring dye over dozens of layers with anti-dye glue. This technique was invented in the Meiji era in JAPAN. The stencil used for dyeing is Ise-katagami, which is designated as an important intangible cultural property of Japan. It is a precious gem hand-carved by a craftsman with great care. You can frame it and hang it on the wall as an interior decoration, and enjoy flower viewing every year with “EDYH” in your room.
